I am babysitting two extra children through Wednesday. What are the odds I will ever get my home clean? What day will I snap? How many times do you think the children will have Goldfish and cookies for dinner?
What are your challenges this week? Please share. Let me know I’m not alone.

I actually made a post! Now I am just waiting for someone to make fun of the graphic.
My husband is home, puking-sick. So I have twice as many kids this week, too.
I'm sorry. I really hope you don't catch it.
Oh Jesus, that didn't even occur to me! Although it would be nice to lose a few pounds…
I forgot to mention that my husband is going out of town as well as the babysitting. HALP
Are you drinking yet? If not, you should be.
It's not even 10:30 and I'm exhausted.
How much Klonopin is too much?
For you or the children?
Now one of the kids has the poops.
My kindergartner has 14 pages of homework this week. Halp!
WHUT? Of what?
Math. All math. Of course, some of the pages only have 3 "problems" on them, but still!
That is a ridiculous amount of homework. I swear, homework is getting out of hand.
Ooooh! You have a Kindergartener! Can I ask what your kid is working on in school? Because mine has spelling tests and she has to use the spelling words in sentences with correct punctuation and capitalization. This seems kind of intense and I can't remember what my son was doing at that age.
That is an insane amount of homework.
Interesting that you should ask about that. Right now, it seems to be all math, all the time. We moved to this school district at the end of October. Since then, I can only remember a handful of weeks when the homework involved writing/spelling/English. Now, she does bring home writing work that they do in class, maybe that's how the teacher likes to break it up–not sure.
What makes it interesting is that the school she started the year in was the complete opposite. That teacher started writing skills on the second day of school and it didn't let up. She was attempting sentences by the end of the first month. Her "new" class is just now working on sentences. She enjoyed writing at the old school, now–not so much. She seems to enjoy the math much more (and is better at it).
I agree with you–it all seems very intense. At orientation at her first school, the teacher told the parents that they would find that kindergarten now is teaching what used to be first/beginning of second grade work, back in the day.
Thanks. We have a math assignment probably once a week. It's a lot of writing. I find myself wondering if she's getting all she needs from this curriculum.
Yes, balance is key. I keep waiting for the shift in my daughter's class. Hope she's not missing out. Good luck with all the writing!
The Codered phone notification service just did a test call to our house. Every time I see the number on the caller id, little icy fingers wrap their way around my heart. They've called 2 other times.
1. A gas leak that required evacuation
2. A lockdown in my sons school
Gah! Scary!
I swear to god, I feel like crying.
