For Immediate Release
Open Thread Media, publisher of Crasstalk.com, is launching an exciting new project that is focused on parenting: Crassparenting.com. Crassparenting hopes to bring an irreverent and nonjudgmental voice to counter the too often rigid world of mommy blogging. As Editor-in-Chief Christa Palmer explains:
“We are a refuge for people who want to discuss parenting in a different way. You can vent about how tired you are because children are exhausting. You can ask for other people’s opinions about how to cope when you think you might be on the brink of insanity. You can share the absolutely hysterical things that your kids do. You are allowed to be wistful about being childless.
It is a place to laugh and talk with people who don’t take life too seriously. There is no dogma. No one will lecture you about eating 100% organic food, how long you should breastfeed, what parenting books have the only right ideas or any other rigid parenting idea. You won’t be judged if you let your kids watch TV.”
Crassparenting will create a comfortable community where parents can express themselves and share their own experiences. Our content will be 100% user-generated; because we know our readers have the best insights. The site will allow users to write about and discuss the demands and joys of parenting, as well as the often confusing and exasperating world of parenting trends. Honesty and snark will be encouraged.
Crassparenting will launch September 24th, 2012.
